When prescribing a homeopathic remedy, the type of illness and the way you react to an illness is taken into account.

You and others may have the same illness but need a different remedy because each person displays their own unique symptoms.   Also different methods  are used when prescribing for an acute and a chronic condition.

Acute Conditions generally occur suddenly or have rapid developing symptoms and the duration of the condition is limited. eg Flu, sore throat , inflammation etc. Acute conditions require short term homeopathic care and you get completely better once the correct acute prescription  is taken.

If you can’t work out the acute remedy yourself, you can have an Acute consultations which takes approx 15-30 minutes.

In an acute situation  you can  prescribe a homeopathic remedy on the basis of location, type of pain and modalities (what makes it worse and what makes it better, even if temporarily). Other symptoms that occur at the same time as acute symptoms are called concomitant symptoms and they can help you prescribe the correct remedy eg symptoms like  food cravings, thirst, general body temperature etc.  You may have an acute symptom with a lump in the throat with vertigo when breathing as a concomitant symptom.

Chronic conditions come on slowly, persist for a long time (usually more than 6 months) and can potentially worsen over time.  Homeopathy is a wonderful way to help you to improve your health  and become as strong as you can be. Chronic conditions include depression, digestive issues insomnia allergies eczema psoriasis post traumatic stress etc. Also if your acute condition keeps recurring, chronic homeopathic prescribing would most likely be needed to address the root cause of the problem.

Chronic prescribing  investigates the the medical history, family history, mental and emotional state, past traumas, grievances,  particular symptoms including sleep, dreams, body temperature, food cravings and any circumstance that make you feel better or worse. You also have to consider miasmatic influences, past history of medical drugs and if any organs  need support. The totality of your symptoms indicate the most probable remedy to help you on your journey towards good health.

If you have a chronic illness and need help with a chronic prescription, the consultation will take between between 60-90 minutes.
